The streak of top-place success for ilani continues this year as the casino resort received the title of “best casino” in the Native Northwest category for the sixth year from Casino Player Magazine, ilani announced this month.
Casino Player Magazine bestowed 18 awards on ilani for its 2022 Best of Gaming Awards released this month, according to a news release from the casino. The Native Northwest category covers dozens of casinos in Washington, Oregon and Northern California, according to the magazine.
The casino has received the accolade every year since it opened its doors in 2017. In 2021, ilani won “best overall gaming resort” from the magazine.
At the time of that award, the magazine highlighted ilani’s 100,000 square feet of gaming space, nearly 3,000 slot machines, 75 tables and 15 restaurants, bars and retail shops.
The casino still placed in the top-three for overall gaming resort this year, taking second place, the release stated.
This year ilani received eight first-place rankings including best video slots, best high limit room and best VIP lounge and services, among others, according to the release.
The casino was honored to have received the numerous awards, ilani President and General Manager Kara Fox-LaRose stated in the release.
“With such commendable recognition from Casino Player’s readers, ilani is continuing to rise to new heights in its ability to create memorable experiences for its valued guests,” Fox-LaRose stated.
The Cowlitz Indian Tribe’s casino is up against several establishments in the Native Northwest category that feature one thing ilani doesn’t currently have — a hotel. That will change soon as the casino plans to open its 14-story, 300-room hotel next year.
