GFWC-Battle Ground to offer $1,500 scholarship

The General Federation of Women’s Clubs of Battle Ground will award one scholarship this year to a woman who plans to attend an institute of higher learning in Washington state.

The recipient of the $1,500 scholarship will be offered to a woman graduating from Battle Ground area schools, stated a news release.

Grade-point average, financial need and community service involvement will be part of the selection process.

The application of the scholarship recipient will also be forwarded to the GFWC Washington State Scholarship Committee for additional judging in the state competition.
