August Hust “Jr.” was born Feb. 24, 1933 in Woodworth, North Dakota. He passed away March 5, 2022 in Vancouver, Washington. He was 89.
He was preceded by his son Ward, his companion Charlene, and lifelong friend Jimmy.
He is survived by his brother Gary Hust, and his children Jan, Terri (Floyd), Tinna (Steve), Holly (Ron), Lynn (Jon), Clark (Nona), Gene (Joyce) and Chrys (Troy). He is also survived by his 39 grandchildren, 68 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Junior retired from being a longshoreman after many years of hard work. His entire life he was a hard worker and very proud of the letters from previous employers who agreed with that opinion.
He loved the outdoors, wildlife and his dogs. Junior was a jokester who loved to laugh and make people laugh. He gathered with his friends weekly for coffee and conversation. He worked hard to raise his family of nine children. His family was his life. He always sacrificed to provide the best for his children. He is greatly loved and missed.
A celebration of life and service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, March 14, 2022, at Mountain View Christian Center, 2810 NE 259th St., Ridgefield, Washington.
