Dorothy grew up in Illinois and at a young age married Loren Hummel. They were blessed with two children, Kevin & Connie. The family eventually moved to southwestern Michigan. During this time, she studied to become a nurse and practiced nursing for 25 years. After she and Loren divorced, she eventually married Dick Weible.
After Dorothy retired, she moved out to Washington in 2003 and lived across the street from her daughter & son-in-law, Marty & Connie Jackson. For the last 23 years they have had many good times together. She loved taking care of her flowers and yard, taking trips to the beach, loved nature, and was a friendly and kind neighbor.
She attended the Woodland, the Cedar Creek and the Hockinson Seventh-day Adventist churches with her family.
She will be missed greatly by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Hummel, in 2002. Her first husband, Loren Hummel, passed in 2013. Second husband, Richard (Dick) Weible, passed in 1990. She is survived by her daughter, Connie & husband Marty Jackson, brother, Bob & wife JoAnn Reynolds, daughter-in-law, Karen, grandsons Brian, Steven, Brett and Michael and three great-grandchildren, whom she adored.
