She was born Sept. 6, 1939, in Miami, Florida, to Harvey and Thelma Pifer. Ina grew up in Battle Ground, Washington, among her large extended family and four siblings. She attended Meadow Glade Elementary School and Columbia Adventist Academy in Battle Ground, and later Pacific Union College in Angwin, California.
After moving away and marrying, she returned to Clark County in 1976, where she sold real estate for nearly 50 years. She spent her career as a manager and broker for various real estate companies in Clark County. She later partnered with her sister, Caroline Hansen, for the remaining 15 years of her career, retiring from Legions Realty in Battle Ground in 2019.
Ina was an active member of the Lewis River Rotary Club for more than 20 years and played piano and organ at Orchards Seventh-day Adventist Church, along with many other churches and denominations throughout the county.
Upon retiring, Ina moved to Las Vegas to be close to her daughter, Angela, and “be warm.” There, she was active in her local Rotary and Aqua Size clubs in Sun City, Nevada. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling and gardening.
Those who knew her were impressed with her expertise, wit and humor until the end of her life.
She is survived by her sons, James Linford of St. George, Utah, and Theron Karrick of Hillsboro, Oregon; daughters, Angela Hammond of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Pamela Tichenor of Geneva, Switzerland; granddaughter, Mindy Green of Chicago, Illinois; grandson, Petros Dandalis of Geneva, Switzerland; sister, Suzanne Meyer of Spokane, Washington; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens on Friday, Feb. 13, at 12:30 p.m.
