Janet Eileen (Kreinbring) Bellcoff was born Jan. 9, 1945, in Vancouver, Washington. She died Jan. 6, 2025, in Brush Prairie, Washington

Janet passed at home with family by her side, three days shy of her 80th birthday, just a few days after coming home from the hospital on hospice care.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Emma Kreinbring; and her siblings, Earl (Sonny) Kreinbring, Ella Mae Fisher and Darel Kreinbring.

Janet is survived by husband of 58 years, Roy Bellcoff; daughter, Colleen (Jeff) Relyea; son, Steve (Martha) Bellcoff; son, Greg (Lisa) Bellcoff; grandchildren, Sam (Kari) Sawyer, Alyssa (Sean) Rice, Josh, Erick (Beth Ann) Bellcoff, Justin (Hannah) Bellcoff, Jace, Ashton and Chloe; and great-grandchildren, Malikai, Carolyn, Ellie, Finn, James, Tyler, Liam and Camdyn; and numerous other family members.

Janet was always active in and around the community, locally, throughout the state and nationally. She graduated from Emmanuel School of Nursing in 1966 and worked as a registered nurse at Vancouver Memorial and St, Joseph’s hospitals and Vancouver Clinic until she retired in 2009.

Janet was active in 4H from an early age. Her parents helped build the “E” building at the Clark County Fairgrounds when she was young, to become a 4H member, then a leader for more than 50 years, serving as a superintendent and then becoming a fair board member. In 2001, she was recognized as one of the first 100 inductees into the Washington State 4H Hall of Fame. In 2016, she was recognized for 50 years of volunteer service at the Clark County Fair; she retired from the fair board following the 2023 fair. Janet was an active square dancer and a member of several clubs, state organizations and national conventions. Janet was a seventh-degree National Grange member and active at Hazel Dell Grange No. 1124 and currently Washington Grange No. 82.

Janet (wife, mom, auntie, Aunt Janet, grandma, Grandma Janet, Grandma Bellcoff or however you knew her) will be forever missed and loved but will live on in all our hearts and memories.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Clark County Fair scholarship fund.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at Washington Grange, 7701 NE Ward Road, Vancouver, Washington. Please bring a potluck dish or dessert to share.
