John Anthony Waser was born July 29, 1936, in Ridgefield, Washington to Ramey and Ida (Kiser) Waser. He died Dec. 8, 2022.
His family moved to Amboy and lived on a dairy farm. He graduated from Battle Ground High School, then served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a logger, then became a switch man for Burlington Northern Railroad. He enjoyed golfing, sports, and was an avid Seahawk, Mariner and Huskies fan.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lois; sister Dorothy Fry; brothers Albert, Eddie, Ray and Bobby; step-son-in-law Michael; and two great-grandsons.
He is survived by sisters Jane Wilson and June McKee; children Kim (Terry) Primley, Curt (Toni) and Rhonda Kopman; stepchildren Michael (Karla) Schlosser, Cliff (Sheila) Schlosser and Lorraine Wall; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 19, 2022, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
