Kirk Jordan Tafoya, 37, passed away on June 28, 2026. He was born February 15, 1989 in Pueblo, Colorado.
Kirk grew up in Battle Ground, Washington and graduated from Battle Ground High School in 2007. He went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree from Boise State University in 2013. Kirk worked for D.R. Horton as a Construction Superintendent for many years in Clark County.
In September 2022, Kirk married the love of his life, Valerie (Wonderlich) Tafoya. They made their home in Woodland, Washington, with their beloved dogs before relocating to Paris, Texas earlier this year. Kirk loved his family, camping, swimming, karaoke, his dogs, and the Denver Broncos.
Kirk is survived by his wife Valerie; his parents Lee Tafoya and Lezlie Tafoya; his sister Jill Allen (Tommy) and their family; his grandmother Shirley Medina (Joe); and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will be deeply missed by his seven nieces and nephews, his sweet pup Azul, and countless friends whose lives he touched.
Kirk had the best sense of humor, a quick wit, and always gave the best hugs. He is, and will be, so missed.
A private Memorial Service will be held in his honor.
