In loving memory of Mary Heidegger: 1958-2023

Mary Irene (Nylund) Heidegger was born on June 8, 1938, in Vancouver, Washington, to Albert and Juanita (Colvin) Nylund. She passed away on Jan. 21, 2023, in Battle Ground, Washington, at the age of 84.

Mary was united in marriage to Harold Heidegger on Feb. 3, 1957. They lived in Clark County most of their married life. She last resided at Golden Age Home Care in Battle Ground, Washington.

Mary was a member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church. She treasured her family and her many Christian friends. She especially loved the babies.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Harold; her children, Pamela, with Gunnar Muonio, of Battle Ground, Washington; Carl, with Rhonda Heidegger, of Battle Ground, Washington; Pollie, with Gary Jolma, of Marengo, Wisconsin; and Cindy, with Val Roberts, of Battle Ground, Washington; 32 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are her siblings, Paul, with Terry Nylund, of Bryant, South Dakota; Emelia, with Konnie Olson, of Fort Thompson, South Dakota; and her sister-in-law Sue, with Jim Tormanen, of Brush Prairie, Washington.

Preceding Mary in death were her parents, brother Oscar Nylund, sister Sandra Olson, grandson Michael Muonio and great-granddaughter Rula Muonio.

The funeral service for Mary was held at 11 am on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023, at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church of Lewisville.
