In loving memory of Mary Lange Anderson: 1928 - 2025

Mary Lange Anderson died Nov. 10, 2025, in Vancouver, Washington, at the age of 97. She was born in Shelton, Washington, to John and Etna Eliason. She grew up in Shelton and graduated from WSU in 1950. She married Norman Lange and they raised their family in Amboy, Washington. She was a troop leader for Girl Scouts and Camp Fire Girls for many years, and worked as a bookkeeper. She later worked at B. Dalton Booksellers and as an editor for Miller Nash Law Firm in Portland. She married A. Reinold Anderson in 1986 and they enjoyed traveling and gardening. They were members of Sons of Norway and the Vancouver Chrysanthemum Society. Mary also enjoyed reading and watercolor painting.

She is survived by her son, Eric (Connie) Lange; daughter, Karen (Chris Gratzer) Lange; step-son, John (Anne) Anderson; grandchildren, Anna (Justin Klein) Lange, and Christine (Jon Scott) Lange; step-grandchildren, Colby (Ashley) Gratzer, Andrew (Bradley McKnight) Gratzer, Scott (Chrissy) Anderson, Wendy (Taylor) Stradley, and Kevin (Kristina) Anderson; great-grandchild, Ari Klein; and step-great-grandchildren, Holden, Parker, Bode, Capri, Rhys, Ryan, London and Andie.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Reinold; sister, June Thayer; brother, John Eliason; daughter, Barbara Dutton; and step-son, Robert Anderson.
