Sharon G. McGehee, 86, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026, in Vancouver, Washington. Born on July 10, 1940, in Inglewood, California, Sharon led a vibrant and purpose-driven life that left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Willard “Chuck” McGehee; stepdaughter Linda Godwin; her parents, Albert and Bertha Sweet; and her younger brother, Bobby.
She is survived by her three children: Becky Struys and husband Felix Struys, Robert Foster, Heidi Price and fiancé Sam Hammond; stepdaughter Teresa Jacobelli; her sister, Joanne Nance; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and their families.
A woman who was independent and full of energy, she believed in doing every task with care. She was known for her hands-on approach and took pride in her work. She loved working in her yard, caring for her flowers and plants.
Sharon’s creativity extended into arts and crafts, where her artistic spirit shined brightly. Whether designing something beautiful or exploring an arts and crafts store, she found joy in her creative pursuits.
Sharon had a deep love for animals and shared her life with pugs, cats, and other furry friends. Her adventurous nature led her to explore new places. Whether on a weekend trip to the beach or a road trip to Yellowstone, she was always ready to go.
Sharon enjoyed reading mystery and romance novels, works about Native American culture, and history books. She valued staying informed about current events as she eagerly awaited her daily newspaper.
Sharon’s legacy is one of love, resilience, creativity, and an unwavering dedication to family and friends. May those who knew her find comfort in their cherished memories of this remarkable woman.
