Two in-person and two virtual public hearings will be held in October in response to the Interstate Bridge Replacement program’s draft supplemental environmental impact statement, which was released Friday, Sept. 20.

The dates and locations for these events will be announced in early October online at interstate bridge.org/DraftSEIS.

The Interstate Bridge Replacement program (IBR) has released its draft supplemental environmental impact statement (SEIS), opening a 60-day public comment period which began Sept. 20. The document evaluates the impacts of the proposed replacement bridge compared to a no-build option. IBR will receive community feedback until Nov. 18.

“Public engagement has been a hallmark of this program from the very beginning, and we want to make sure that community members have their voices heard,” IBR program administrator Greg Johnson said in a news release. “The public’s input is crucial for the success of the IBR program and will help ensure that what we build reflects the priorities and desires of the local community.”

The draft SEIS is available online at interstatebridge.org/Draft SEIS, with hard copies accessible at the following locations:
