Linda was born June 20, 1945, in Vancouver, Washington, to Oren and Clara Heasley and grew up with her sister Joyce on their family farm in east Vancouver, where she would spend the majority of her life. Linda married Ralph Matson in 1967, became stepmother to Russell and Jolene, and then they added Steven and Shelley to their family. Linda delighted in being a homemaker, teaching Sunday School and 4-H, and was always eager to pass along her immense wisdom and patience. Once widowed, Linda joined the workforce and spent over 20 years at Southwest Washington Medical Center (now PeaceHealth), where she served as a valued team member for their hospice, cancer and family birth centers. Linda's faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was a member of the Proebstel Evangelical Free Church and later the La Center Evangelical Free Church. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, sister and husband, and she is survived by children, Russell (Alan Reece) Matson, Jolene (Gary) Morrison, Steven (Christine) Matson and Shelley Matson Edwards, and her pride and joy: her 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews, co-workers and friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life open house at the home of Shelley Matson Edwards, 9707 NE 180th Circle, Battle Ground, Washington, on Saturday, Sept. 21 from 12-4 p.m.
