La Center High School graduate Ayva Taylor has received a $2,000 scholarship from the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Scholarship Fund.
Taylor, the daughter of Teamsters Local 162 member Scott Taylor, will attend Brigham Young University-Provo in the fall.
The Teamsters, a labor union representing workers in a variety of industries, award 600 scholarships annually to children or financial dependents of Teamsters members. Scholarships support students attending four-year colleges, community colleges or trade and vocational schools.
