The City of La Center is seeking residents to fill a vacant position on the Planning Commission as an alternate. Applications are available until the position is filled.

The Planning Commission analyzes and organizes information relating to land use and forwards its recommendations to the La Center City Council. Discussions at the Planning Commission frequently center around zoning, transportation and public safety, the city’s website stated.

Planning Commission alternates serve five-year terms and must attend regular meetings held at 6:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month at City Hall, 210 E Fourth St., La Center.

Applicants must submit a cover letter explaining their interest in the position and what priorities on which the city should focus. Candidates must also submit a filled Planning Commission application, available at shorturl.at/LIJ1y. Eligible candidates must reside within La Center city limits.
