Legacy Health has opened a new primary care clinic in Ridgefield as part of a broader effort to address growing demand for healthcare services in Southwest Washington.

The Ridgefield clinic opened on July 14 at 536 S. Royle Road, Suite 1, and is now accepting patients. The new facility is intended to help meet the area’s increasing need for primary care providers as Clark County continues to experience rapid population growth, a news release by Legacy Health stated.

According to Legacy Health, Southwest Washington currently lacks enough primary care and specialty providers to meet projected demand over the next five to 10 years. The Ridgefield clinic, approximately 14 miles north of Vancouver, is designed to improve access for patients throughout the greater Clark County area, Legacy Health stated.

The clinic utilizes a team-based care model that coordinates physicians and advanced practice providers with medical assistants, pharmacists, registered nurses, behavioral health clinicians, social workers and case managers. Legacy Health stated the integrated approach is designed to improve access to care while supporting better long-term health outcomes.

“Opening Legacy Medical Group - Ridgefield clinic reflects our commitment to being Here for Good for the patients and communities we serve,” said Kevin O’Boyle, president of Legacy Medical Group at Legacy Health, in the release. “As Southwest Washington continues to grow, we are investing in new ways to deliver primary care that is more accessible, more connected and built around our patients’ needs. By bringing together collaborative care teams, advanced technology and expanded access, we are strengthening the care patients need, while creating a more sustainable model for the future.”

Legacy Health said the clinic incorporates online scheduling tools that connect patients with the appropriate member of their care team and includes automated follow-up reminders, notifications for overdue procedures and preventive services, and standardized care protocols intended to provide consistent treatment across patient visits.

To improve convenience, the Ridgefield clinic offers extended hours Monday through Friday from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. The clinic will also reserve at least 22 same-day appointments each day for urgent and routine healthcare needs, the release added.

The new location is part of Legacy Health’s broader investment in healthcare services throughout Southwest Washington. Legacy Medical Group’s Camas location has also expanded its primary care hours to include evening and weekend appointments, while Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center plans to open a new observation unit during the first half of 2027 to increase patient capacity, the release stated.
