Vote yes for Proposition 8 on April 22 to continue local funding for students in Battle Ground Public Schools.
As a BGPS graduate, parent and employee, I am incredibly thankful for all of the quality offerings of the school district. BGPS does an amazing job seeing each child as an individual and accommodating them through a variety of pathways.
For my own children and the students I serve, I am proud to share the options we have in supporting students through specialized staff and programs.
It is critical that we continue to provide a variety of options for our youth. Levies pay for things that the state either doesn’t provide enough money for or doesn’t fund at all. These include special education, busing, curriculum, nursing, mental health support, maintenance, teachers, the arts, sports, alternative programs, extracurriculars and more.
We’re asking for only what is needed to maintain the programs and services that support students.
As a community it is up to us to make a difference for our children and provide them with a quality education. Vote yes!
