R.I.P. Charlie Kirk. As a Christian, patriot and free speech advocate, this martyr now lives beyond college campuses. Charlie's message of love has gone worldwide. A crusader for God, he has guided many young people to Jesus Christ. He said, "our fight is not political, it is spiritual."
Like Jesus, hatred killed Charlie to silence him. And like Jesus, Charlie loved his enemies but probably did not consider them such. I'm sure he has already forgiven the cowardly young man that killed him. Kirk was a great debater. Radicals that hated him would resort to name calling and threats because they could not prove their beliefs like Charlie could prove his. It is actually quite easy when you follow truth through the light of the Lord. With the spirit of Christ filling our hearts, we too can guide our children to the truth.
We can't be afraid of the haters that live in darkness and lash out in anger at everything they disagree with. They don't want to hear the other side, only their side. They want us to be fearful and silent. Do we want our kids to live in darkness and fear or with joyful hearts and infectious smiles?
Speak up loudly for your beliefs without violence. Using morality, compassion and common sense we can change hearts. Only love can conquer hate. We are all welcome into Christs' family. Take advantage of the sacrifice Jesus made for us on the cross. Repent, be baptized and live life the way we were created to live it. May the Lord watch over Charlie's family while he is away, living an eternal life too few of us strive for.
His is such a great legacy for someone so young. Well done brother.
