Letter to the Editor: Christians should vote to protect America’s laws

Posted

Editor,

It is sad that millions of Christians registered to vote probably will not. This silence allows non-believers to choose America’s direction, its laws. Millions more Christians could not be bothered to even register to vote. The foundation of all morality comes from God. Our founding fathers, many of them Christian, used this truth in securing our rights. To maintain these freedoms in a "We the people" government, we must vote. America’s unique Constitution only works if we keep our moral compass pointed true. We are all sinners, yet God uses Christians and non-Christians alike to gain his will. Until Jesus Christ begins his perfect rule, we must choose the lesser of two evils. Many of our liberties, including free speech, are on the ballot next month. As an example, some governors chose to close churches in 2020 during COVID. But they allowed bars and strip clubs to remain open and rioting to continue. Some vision huh? If

Christians don't stand up for truth and common sense, who will? We have witnessed that politicians will not. And mainstream media uses editing and silent propaganda to push their biases. Christianity must be active in every aspect of life. Jesus himself asks us to make disciples of all nations. How can we be a beacon of hope if we don't put our cherished freedoms front and center for the world to see?

We can't be passive. Our culture is what we make of it and doing nothing allows the "woke" to direct it into godlessness. Don't withdraw from society, contribute to it. The wasted vote is the one not cast. Atheists vote, why won't you?
