Editor,
I see so much in the Reflector regarding school levies and other solicitations for providing schools with more and more funding.
Has anyone looked at the wasted money schools spend for goods and services? It’s always more is better. I do not believe that is true. A simple Google search can provide countless concerns regarding tax dollars meant to improve our students’ learning environment that have been missed in the distant and recent past. From services in the millions of dollars that were never provided to current retirement plans that are breaking the bank. Also, schools have been accused of teaching inappropriate sexual-related content to our kids. Children throughout the United States are scoring far below many other countries and our students are fully falling behind.
Prove to us you are doing your job, and I will vote for further funding. I have never voted for an increase in funding, and I will not until I feel my money is being well spent.
