Letter to the editor: New State Tax Law Draws Criticism from Resident

Posted

Democrats claim to "hate" Kings, yet Bog Ferguson, our Governor, sure acted like one as he signed Senate Bill 6346, an income tax, into law today, March 30. These communist Democrats who lord over our state like little kings and queens (figuratively and literally speaking) call this new income tax law a "fairness tax" that only taxes millionaires. You know the very people who can afford to leave the state. Of which many are now doing. This new income tax will eventually, in short order, be expanded and altered to include ALL INCOME LEVELS. From birthday money to Social Security, everyone will be forced to pay an income tax once the obvious becomes clear to those who passed this bill into law. You can't tax the rich exclusively because they'll leave. Which means, the people who will ultimately fall to everyone else. No income bracket will be spared. The Democrats love the poor so much that they'll do everything they can to make all of us as poor as possible. Poor people can't afford to leave. Despite this new income tax law being clearly in violation of the Washington State Constitution, it will be upheld by the very biased leftist activist judges of our State Supreme Court. We do not live in a representative democracy when 90 state lawmakers, including the Governor, constantly ignore and betray the will of the populace, in order to pass into law bills such as this income tax. And when these laws are opposed by voter will, or the state constitution, the Democrats backdoor them into existence through the state courts. That's not democracy, that's tyranny.
