One of my most precious memories is of going with my parents to the local polling place to cast their votes.
Sometimes this was at the high school in Battle Ground and sometimes at the fire station down the road.
Voting was a right they cherished.
I'm grateful to them for encouraging me to be a voter, just as I've encouraged my children. I urge readers to cast their votes for Sharon Wylie as county auditor. I have known her as a friend and public servant for many years.
Sharon understands the role the county auditor plays in overseeing elections. She has the commitment and backbone to defend the rights of all Clark County voters without regard to partisanship.
The critical Aug. 4 primary is coming up fast. Turnout is usually low. So mark your calendars now and please vote for Sharon Wylie in the primary.
