The Clark County Youth Commission invites people to nominate youth to be recognized for the 24th annual Clark County Youth Achievement Awards. Up to 300 young people will be honored for their accomplishments in one of 13 categories of achievement.

The awards recognize youth achievements that demonstrate personal growth and community contribution.

Any Clark County resident aged 11–19 who demonstrated achievement in any of the 13 categories is eligible for nomination. Their achievement must have been accomplished after Jan. 13, 2023. Youth may be nominated for multiple categories but if selected will receive only one award.

This year’s categories are: arts, career development, citizenship, courage, diversifier, education, empathy, environmental stewardship, family life, inspiration, leadership, personal achievement and sportsmanship.

Nominations must be submitted by 5 p.m., Friday, Feb. 9.

This year there will not be a physical event. Honorees will receive a certificate, commemorative pin and video message by late May.

The awards are designed and hosted by the Clark County Youth Commission — a group of 30 youth, 11 to 19 years old, who represent the voices of youth in Clark County, according to the Clark County Community Services website.
