NW Natural, the natural gas supplier for Southwest Washington, has filed its annual Purchased Gas Adjustment (PGA) with the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission (WUTC) on Sept. 13. If approved, customers could see lower rates as soon as Nov. 1.
The new rates will reflect changes in the projected cost of natural gas for the upcoming winter season and account for differences between the estimated and actual costs from the previous year, according to a NW Natural news release.
If the filing is approved as proposed, the average residential customer using 57 therms per month could see a reduction of around $8 on their monthly bill. Small-commercial natural gas customers may see savings of approximately $33 per month.
