Southbound Interstate 5 in Woodland experienced closures and delays after multiple semi trucks and vehicles were involved in an accident, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Trooper Will Finn on Twitter said two semi-trucks and three passengers were involved in the crash at milepost 23 near Dike Road, which was reported at 1:36 p.m. on April 26.

“A loaded trailer has become detached and floating in river, one truck on fire,” Finn tweeted in an update, later adding the trailer in the water was loaded with metal shelving while the other one was empty.

Finn stated the semi trucks went down an embankment.

No serious injuries were reported, according to Finn, although one driver broke their finger.

All of the lanes were blocked at one point, but Finn later said the southbound left and center lanes were once again open.

WSP was on scene with the U.S. Coast Guard to assess the water after fuel leaked from both semis, stated Finn.
