The Woodland High School girls basketball team continued its hunt to stay near the top of the 2A Greater St. Helens League with a duo of huge wins combined by a score of 140-26 last week.
The Beavers first beat the R.A. Long Lumberjills 61-14 on Tuesday, Jan. 6, followed by a 79-12 win over Hudson’s Bay High School on Thursday, Jan. 8. The two wins closed out last week with a league record of 4-1, good for third in the league standings.
The Beavers entered a challenging week that began with fourth-place Washougal High School on Monday, Jan. 12, but results were unavailable at press time. They next square off against second-place Columbia River High School on Wednesday, Jan. 14, at 7:30 p.m. on home court before closing out the week again at home against the Ridgefield Spudders on Friday, Jan. 16, at 7:30 p.m.
