Woodland Police Department recovers backpack with $27,000 in cash, over 200 fentanyl pills

Officers from the Woodland Police Department responded to Walmart just before 5:25 p.m. on June 29 to a found property call where they discovered a backpack that contained $27,000 in cash and over 200 fentanyl pills.

A social media post from the department stated the backpack was turned into the store’s customer service department.



“If you know the owner of the backpack and the missing money, please contact the Woodland Police Department,” stated the post. “We will have a desire to question the person claiming to be the owner (of) about the 200+ fentanyl pills found in the backpack as well.”
