BG Walmart hosts grand re-opening after remodel, presents $5,000 in checks to local organizations

Visitors to the Battle Ground Walmart around 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, noticed a big celebration as the store unveiled their upgrades after a remodel.

Community leaders, local businesses, the Battle Ground High School band and Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps, vendors and more gathered to celebrate the completion of a major remodel at the Battle Ground Walmart, located at 1201 SW 15th Ave.

As part of the celebration, store manager Brandi Quinlan presented checks totalling $5,000 to four local non-profit organizations and thanked the community for its support during the renovation.

The organizations to receive checks were:

• $2,000 to Battle Ground Police Department



• $1,000 to Battle Ground Pride
• $1,000 to BG Senior Citizens
• $1,000 to National Women’s Coalition Against Violence and Exploitation (NWCAVE)

The event was attended by Battle Ground Mayor Troy McCoy, Battle Ground Police Chief Dennis Flynn and members of the Clark County Fire District 3 Battle Ground Fire Station.

After the early morning celebration, Quinlan showcased the updates, including a new community mural and the addition of new square feet, among other improvements.
