The governmental and community affairs manager for Waste Connections Scott Campbell died last Sunday morning. Campbell was well known for his community work in Clark County and was a favorite to win a seat on the Vancouver City Council in November.
“He was surrounded by family and loved ones, and we know that your positive thoughts and prayers made a difference as he passed on to his next chapter,” a statement from his campaign team reads. “Our community has lost a bright, shining light — but he would be so honored to know that each of us will be taking a small piece of that light and carrying it forward.”
Details of a community memorial had not been announced as of The Reflector’s print deadline.
