Logtoberfest returns with logging and Sasquatch festivities in Skamania County

The Wind River Business Association is presenting Logtoberfest, focusing on Skamania County’s logging heritage and Sasquatch lore this month.

The free event will take place from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Elk Ridge Golf Course, 1 St Martin’s Springs Road, Carson.

The festival will feature a range of family-friendly activities, including live music, Sasquatch-themed vendors, chainsaw art and blacksmithing demonstrations. A Hairiest Leg Contest and Dress Like a Logger Contest will also be held during the event, a press release by Wind River Business Association stated.



Children’s activities will include games, crafts and face painting, the release stated.

Local craft brews will also be available for purchase in the festival’s beer garden, with a $20 entry ticket that includes a beverage and commemorative Mason jar, the press release stated.
