County Public Health Advisory Council seeks volunteer applicants

The Clark County Board of Health is seeking volunteer applications for the Public Health Advisory Council position representing the educational community. Applications for the role are due by 5 p.m., Friday, Aug. 30.

The Public Health Advisory Council reviews priority public health needs and makes recommendations to the county’s Board of Health to enhance community well-being. The council also creates community forums and task forces, as assigned by the Board of Health, a Clark County news release stated.

The Public Health Advisory Council members serve three-year terms and meet from 5:30-7:30 p.m., via Zoom on the fourth Tuesday of each month, except December. One meeting each quarter is held in person at a chosen location within the county, the release stated.



Those interested in the council appointment should submit a letter of interest and resume to Michelle Pfenning, County Manager’s Office, P.O. Box 5000, Vancouver 98666. Applications can also be emailed to michelle.pfenning@clark.wa.gov.
