In loving memory of Howard Cook, beloved husband, son, brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on Aug. 28, 2024.
He was preceded in death by his son and best buddy, Ken Anderson.
He is survived by his wife, Terry; sister, Shirley (Harry) Forquer; daughters, Lori (Larry) Mansker and Lisa (Bill) Brill; two nieces, Patty and Jennifer Farquer; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Howard was born and raised in Wahkiakum County and graduated from Wahkiakum High School, after which he spent four years in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a long time firefighter and fire commissioner for Clark County District 10 and worked for the Department of Natural Resources for many years.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Howard’s honor. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to the Ken Anderson Scholarship Fund.
He will be missed.
