Thomas Lee Harris, longtime resident of Battle Ground, Washington, passed away on Sept. 17, 2024, at the age of 73. He was born on Jan. 11, 1951, in Vancouver, Washington. Tom grew into a man known for his storytelling and humor, often shared at the dining table with his beloved wife, Lola, and their wide circle of friends and family.

Tom's early education was completed at Sifton Elementary and Evergreen High School. His career trajectory began at Beall Manufacturing in the welding industry, leading him to establish his own business, Harris Metal Fabrication, in 1982. His business served his community until his retirement in 2020.

Tom is survived by his wife, Lola; children, Mark Harris, Kim Woody, Tamara Gutierrez and Jon Harris; and stepson, Jeff Funk. He also leaves behind siblings Jim, Bob and Tim Harris, and sister Marilee McCord. His legacy continues through his 13 grandchildren. Tom was preceded in death by his father, Donald Harris Sr.; mother, Mary Parrott; stepfather, Harold Parrott; brother, Donald Harris; stepson, Chris Funk; and stepdaughter, Amy Peterson.

Tom's zest for life was evident in his love for road trips, often embarking on spontaneous journeys to the coast or mountains, cherishing the joy of exploration. His life was a testament to the joy of sharing moments with loved ones, the pursuit of entrepreneurial dreams and the simple pleasure of a well-timed joke.

A funeral service will be held at Northwood Park Funeral Home in Ridgefield on Oct. 12 at 11 a.m., followed by a reception at Manor Grange Hall in Battle Ground.
