La Center Elementary School (LCES) is now accepting kindergarten registrations for the 2025-26 school year. Registration will be available until Friday, April 18, for families with children who are turning 5 on or before Aug. 31.
In-person registration is available from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday, at LCES, located at 700 E. Fourth St., La Center. Families may also register students online at shorturl.at/ea94B.
To register, families must provide the student’s state-issued birth certificate, current immunization records, proof of residency, a student health history form, family emergency plan and home language survey, the La Center School District website stated.
The first day of kindergarten is Tuesday, Sept. 2.
Ahead of the school year, incoming kindergarteners are invited to attend Kindy Camp on Wednesday, Aug. 20. The camp helps facilitate an environment where students can familiarize themselves with the school and form connections with peers and teachers, the LCES website stated.
