La Center seeks applicants for Planning Commission alternate

The City of La Center is seeking city residents to fill a vacant position on the La Center Planning Commission as an alternate. Applications will remain open until the position is filled.

The Planning Commission advises the City Council on planning, development and growth issues for the community, a city news release stated.

Planning Commission alternates serve five-year terms and attend regular meetings held on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m., City Hall, 210 E. Fourth St., La Center, or another designated location, the release stated.

Eligible candidates must reside within La Center city limits and fill out a Planning Commission application, available at shorturl.at/85h25.



Candidates must also submit a cover letter explaining their interest in being appointed to the Planning Commission and what the top two to three priorities should be for La Center as the community grows. Submitting a resume is optional, the release stated.
