One motorcyclist died and another was injured in a fatal crash at the intersection of Southeast Eaton Boulevard and Southeast 17th Avenue in Battle Ground on Saturday, Sept. 7. The incident is the first fatal traffic accident of the year within Battle Ground city limits, a news release by the city stated.
One motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries, and responders transported the other with significant injuries to a hospital, the release stated.
The identities of the motorcyclists were not released.
Battle Ground police responded to the traffic accident at approximately 12:36 a.m., the news release stated.
Preliminary details indicate that one motorcyclist turned in front of the other, which may have caused the crash. It is unknown if speed or other factors contributed to the collision, and the investigation is ongoing, the release stated.
