The first day of kindergarten at the Pleasant Valley Primary School in the Battle Ground Public Schools district on Tuesday, Sept. 3, looked different for staff as they kicked off the year in brand new classrooms. Three classrooms were built, which incorporated a previous open-air play area roof structure on the east end of the campus, with signs of the previous play area visible in all three classrooms. The project was funded by impact fees, the district stated.
