The Port of Ridgefield announced the promotion of Ethan Perry as its new deputy port director on Thursday, Aug. 1. His previous title was director of operations. Perry holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Denver and a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute.

Perry joined the port in 2017 and has overseen several projects, including Wisdom Ridge Business Park’s construction and the renovation of the port’s boat launch facilities. He is managing the project to restore the Greely Building downtown for economic development and will play a part in revitalizing Ridgefield’s waterfront.

“I want to thank the Port commission and CEO Randy Mueller for this incredible opportunity,” Perry said in a news release. “It is an honor to serve the Port of Ridgefield and contribute to its mission. I am passionate about the role of our public ports and the benefits they bring to our communities and state. I look forward to continuing our work to drive progress and innovation for Ridgefield and Clark County.”

Perry secured more than $5.5 million in grants for port projects, according to the release. Port leaders noted Perry’s success in securing strong relationships with local partners and other ports.

“Ethan has been a cornerstone of our operations, and we are thrilled to promote him to deputy port director,” Port CEO Randy Mueller said the release. “His vision and leadership have been instrumental in advancing key projects and initiatives that have supported jobs, economic benefit and quality of life in Ridgefield. We look forward to his continued impact in this new role.”
