Hundreds of guests attended Woodland’s 102nd Planters Days event last weekend despite bad weather during its Saturday, June 15, parade. The event began in 1922 to celebrate the construction of nearby dikes along the Columbia and Lewis rivers and has persisted for over a century. Local emergency responders, companies, school clubs and volunteer organizations attended last week’s parade.
