Board of Health seeks applicants for Public Health Advisory Council

The Clark County Board of Health is seeking a volunteer representing the educational community to join the Public Health Advisory Council. Applications are due by 5 p.m., Monday, Sept. 30.

The volunteer educational representative position will begin immediately and end Sept. 30, 2027, a news release by Clark County stated.

The Public Health Advisory Council promotes healthy communities and environments by reviewing needs within the county. The council makes recommendations to the Board of Health and may provide community forums or establish task forces. It also provides input to Clark County Public Health and the Board of Health for the annual budget and fees, the news release stated.



The Advisory Council meets from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. via Zoom on the fourth Tuesday of each month, except December. One meeting each quarter is held in person at a location within the county, the release stated.

Those interested in the position should submit a brief letter of interest and resume to Michelle Pfenning, County Manager’s Office, PO Box 5000, Vancouver 98666. The documents may also be emailed to michelle.pfenning@clark.wa.gov.
