County seeks volunteer for Planning Commission

The Clark County Council is seeking a volunteer to serve on the Planning Commission. Applications are due by 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1.

The volunteer Planning Commission position will begin Jan. 1, 2025, and end Dec. 31, 2030, a news release by Clark County stated.

The Planning Commission is a seven-member committee that provides recommendations to the County Council for land use planning, zoning and development within unincorporated Clark County. The commission also provides feedback on developmental issues, such as growth management, roads and more, the news release stated.



The Planning Commission holds work sessions in a hybrid format at 5:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month at the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St., Vancouver, and on Zoom, the release stated.

Those interested in the position should submit a brief letter of interest and resume to Michelle Pfenning, County Manager’s Office, PO Box 5000, Vancouver 98666. The documents may also be emailed to michelle.pfenning@clark.wa.gov.
