A positive trend! Saturday, Sept. 10, the Adopt A Highway volunteers were out again picking up trash on State Route 503. You may have seen the white bags on the highway north of Battle Ground? This year they reported less empty vodka bottles and more empty ice bags. Thanks to all who cover their pickups when doing dump runs so there isn’t large leftover construction materials littering up the road! Thanks, too, to all the Dutch Bros and fast food patrons who kept their cups in their cars! It makes the drive up to our beautiful parks and lakes so much nicer and is an encouraging trend.
