Editor,
Initiative 2117 is bad for our community. Passing I-2117 would mean our community will lose funding the Washington Legislature has made available to benefit southwest Washington. The funding losses would be substantial. If I-2117 passes, southwest Washington communities will lose funding for transportation projects and also lose funding needed to ensure drinking water safety and tackle air pollution.
I have children and grandchildren. I worry about the environment my generation is leaving them. I appreciate the Washington Legislature’s willingness to provide funding to address local transportation and climate concerns. Don’t throw that money away. Vote no on I-2117.
