For the Ridgefield Raptors, a West Coast League baseball team less than a decade old as a franchise, has a new first to its credit after they pitched a no-hitter last week.

Three Raptor pitchers combined to throw the franchise’s first no-hitter against the Yakima Valley Pippins in a 10-0 win for the home crowd, Tuesday, June 11. Dylan Stewart, from Pepperdine University, earned the win in five innings, while Curtis Herbert, from the University of Portland, and Mac Elske, from Chaminade University, both pitched two innings of relief in the win.

The no-hitter marks the 10th thrown in West Coast League history and the first since 2016.
