Clark County residents are invited to participate in a community workshop on climate resilience. The upcoming workshop, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday, June 22, at Sarah Anderson Elementary School, 2215 NE 104th St., Vancouver, will discuss how to improve resiliency in the county’s unincorporated areas.

The workshop will feature a community report on potential climate impacts and community input to date, an expert guest speaker and interactive discussions. The workshop will explore strategies to adapt to the changing climate, a county news release stated.

Participants must register for the free workshop by 5 p.m., Wednesday, June 19, at bit.ly/clarkcountyresilience to attend.

The workshops are part of the county’s new climate change element to its comprehensive plan. The new climate chapter of the plan will include actions the county can take over the next 20 years to improve resilience against climate change, the news release stated.
