County seeks applicants with freight expertise for advisory group

Clark County Climate Project Community Advisory Group (CAG) is seeking applicants with freight experience to provide insight on shipping and transportation within the county. Applications are due by 5 p.m., Thursday, June 6.

CAG collaboratively develops climate-related policy recommendations for the county’s Comprehensive Plan, in accordance with new state laws. The policies drafted by CAG are related to reducing greenhouse gas pollution and improving the county’s resilience to climate impacts, such as increased flooding and wildfires, a county news release stated.

The policy suggestions are reviewed by the County Council and Clark County Planning Commission, the release stated.



Applicants must be prepared to participate in monthly meetings throughout the remaining CAG policy project, which is slated to end in early 2025. The group meets in person from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of the month at the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St., Vancouver, or online via Zoom.
