County seeks volunteers for Solid Waste Advisory Commission

Clark County Council is seeking applications for four volunteer positions on the Solid Waste Advisory Commission, due by 5 p.m., Wednesday, July 31.

The commission advises the county on solid waste issues and planning for garbage collection, landfills, transfer stations and waste-reduction programs, a county news release stated.

Applications from Clark County residents are being accepted for four representative positions. The small cities and towns representative will begin their term immediately. The southeast county, at-large and business representatives will begin their terms Oct. 1, the news release stated.



County residents with a passion for waste reduction, education, outreach or experience with multifamily housing are encouraged to apply. Candidates experienced with a broad range of individuals and communities with diverse backgrounds are also encouraged, the news release stated.
